MuscleTech Test HD Review (Is This Test Booster Worth It?)

by Joe Costello, CNC | Testosterone Boosters

MuscleTech Test HD testosterone boosterMuscleTech Test HD is a natural testosterone booster created by one of the most prominent brands in the sports nutrition space, MuscleTech. Typically, MuscleTech does not disappoint. They have great protein powders, pre workout supplements, and more…

However, in this MuscleTech Test HD review, we will explain why this product is an absolute dud. The overall potency is only 600 MG per serving, which is extremely low for a testosterone booster. To put it into perspective, our #1 ranked best testosterone booster (TestoGen) packs over 3,200 MG in every serving, making it over 5 times as potent.

Suffice it to say, we do not recommend MuscleTech Test HD. We will explain in further detail why we don’t recommend it in this review, but if you want to find some ultra high quality options we DO recommend, check out our list of the Best Testosterone Boosters.

MuscleTech Test HD review by a Certified Nutrition Coach: Is Test HD any good?

In short, no it’s really not any good. It only provides 600 milligrams worth of testosterone boosting ingredients in every serving, which is super weak. The average potency of a testosterone booster nowadays is about 2,000 MG or higher, so this one severely lacks potency. It’s also missing key ingredients.

My Personal Experience And Results With Test HD

Whenever I write a supplement review, I always do two things: First, I analyze the SFP (Supplement Facts Panel). This allows me to determine whether the supplement contains the proper nutrients in the proper dosages, provides potency, proper standardization of ingredients, etc. Secondly, I personally test the supplement myself in order to ensure my initial analysis is accurate.

When I tested Test HD, my personal experience was terrible. It didn’t cause me any crazy side effects or anything like that…it just didn’t work at all. I didn’t feel any benefits or experience any improvement in the gym or in the bedroom…both of which are areas I expect to get a boost in when taking a testosterone booster. This was just a very weak product that I did not get good results with personally, so as a Certified Nutrition Coach, I’d never recommend it to any of my clients.

What does MuscleTech Test HD do?

What does MuscleTech Test HD do for you? Test HD is designed to help you experience improved athletic performance and enhanced sexual health by increasing your testosterone levels.

However, in our opinion, it does not contain the proper ingredients or high enough dosages to actually produce these kinds of benefits. It simply isn’t potent enough. It’s absolutely critical to choose a testosterone booster that is potent enough and contains the correct ingredients.

Without an overall potency of at least 2,000 Mg per serving, you’re just not going to get the results you’re looking for in our opinion.

MuscleTech Test HD ingredients list

Here are the primary ingredients in the MuscleTech Test HD formula:

  • Zinc
  • Tribulus Terrestris
  • Shilajit
  • Boron Citrate
  • Broccoli Extract
  • Stinging Nettle
  • Velvet Bean

Zinc

Zinc has been directly linked to testosterone in a couple of different clinical studies, which has caused many manufacturers of test boosters to include it in their formulas. Since it is a naturally occurring trace mineral, it is also widely believed to be pretty safe to use. Many men report sexual health benefits after supplementing with it. However, in this case, the dosage is far too low at only 8 MG per serving.

Tribulus Terrestris

Tribulus Terrestris is an ingredient every avid testosterone booster user should be familiar with. It is one of the most commonly used ingredients due to the amount of clinical evidence that supports it.

Out of all the ingredients in the Test HD formula, this is by far the best and most effective one. Plus, you get a 250 MG dosage, which is significant.

Shilajit

Shilajit can occasionally be found in T Booster formulas because there have been some implications it may be effective. There’s not a mountain of evidence for it like there is for Tribulus, but it’s still a relatively promising ingredient designed to increase free testosterone in the context of this formula.

Boron Citrate

There is some evidence suggesting that Boron may help increase the metabolism of the total testosterone within your body, which is a good benefit, but this has not been proven.

Plus, it has no direct effect on boosting your testosterone levels, which is the main goal of any T Booster…I just don’t see a place for Boron as a primary ingredient in the formula, and at 100 MG, it is considered a primary ingredient.

Broccoli Powder

To be completely honest with you guys, I don’t know why they added this ingredient. Broccoli powder has a lot of benefits, but there’s no place for it in a testosterone formula.

There’s not a body of research showing it effects testosterone levels significantly enough for it to be a part of this formula…I’m just confused at the addition of this ingredient.

Stinging Nettle

This one is actually not so bad, but the problem is the dosage is too low. Stinging Nettle has been shown to be able to reduce estrogen levels, which is important if you are trying to gain testosterone.

Oftentimes, an estrogen spike is a side effect of testosterone increase, which is why you need an estrogen blocker like this to prevent that from happening.

MuscleTech Test HD pros and cons

Here are the benefits and side effects of MuscleTech Test HD testosterone booster.

Test HD benefits

Some of the MuscleTech Test HD health benefits may include improved libido and elevated energy levels. Beyond that, we don’t see this product as being able to accomplish much for the user based on how weak the formula is. It’s just not strong enough to produce really significant results.

Additionally, it’s missing many key ingredients including D-Aspartic Acid and Fenugreek, which are two of the most crucial nutrients available when it comes to increasing testosterone levels.

Test HD side effects

It’s pretty unlikely for users to experience any side effects from Test HD since it is a very weak supplement overall. Plus, the formula strictly contains natural vitamins and herbs, so there’s not really much to worry about here. It would be surprising if it produced any effects at all.

With that said, some common testosterone booster side effects include headaches, acne, and upset stomach. As long as the formula is natural, you shouldn’t really have to worry.

MuscleTech Test HD complaints & praise (info from real MuscleTech Test HD customer reviews)

Despite the fact that we already determined Test HD is not worth it since it lacks potency and is missing too many ingredients, we will still examine customer reviews just to see what people are saying about the product.

We were able to find almost 600 total MuscleTech Test HD reviews on Amazon, and it received an average rating of 4.1 stars out of 5 from its users. This is actually a pretty decent mark, which is surprising. About 50% of users gave it 5 stars in their reviews.

Is MuscleTech Test HD worth it? Our Test HD test booster review conclusion

All things considered, there is just nothing about this supplement that would make me want to recommend it to our readers. We have reviewed so many amazing testosterone boosters, and this one is just not even in the same ball park as the supplements we typically review.

It lacks potency, its missing key ingredients, and I had a negative experience with it. I just can’t comfortably recommend it based on everything I’ve seen and experienced. My recommendation is to instead pick something off of our list of the Best Testosterone Boosters.
