What Is Stacked Protein?

Stacked Protein is a protein powder that can help provide you with the energy you need to get through your workout, as well as recover after. It comes in many different flavors like Vanilla Ice Cream, Cookies and Cream, Chocolate Decadence, Birthday Cake, and Strawberry.

How Does Stacked Protein Work?

Stacked Protein works by utilizing easy to digest proteins that your body can use immediately after a workout. These proteins are usually made out of high quality ingredients such as whey, to provide your muscles with a healthy source of amino acids. Since these proteins are so easy to digest, your body is able to provide your muscles with the energy they need to grow, at the exact time they need it.

Stacked Protein Ingredients

Protein Blend: Always look for protein powders that are comprised of only whey protein sources. Whey protein sources are the highest quality proteins available on the market today and are often times diluted by companies in order to make their whole supplement less expensive. Many companies go as far as to try to convince you it is actually a good thing that they are not using a 100% blend of the best quality protein around. Does not make much sense, does it? The protein blend of Stacked protein consists of whey protein concentrate, whey protein isolate, whey protein hydrolysate, micellar casein, and egg white protein. This blend definitely is not the best we have seen, but at least it utilizes three very high-quality protein sources.

BCAA Count: The number of BCAA you can expect to find in a protein powder varies depending on how many amino acids the protein source contains, and whether or not the company decided to add an additional amino acid blend into the mix. The amino acids that makeup Branched Chained Amino Acids, are L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine, and L-Valine. These amino acids contribute greatly to building lean muscle, decreasing your recovery time, and keeping you feeling energized.

While many protein brands still don’t use additional BCAA, you can supplement a BCAA drink separately. Many athletes have begun supplementing a BCAA drink during their workout to keep their muscles replenished, and their bodies energized. Stacked Protein includes 5 grams of glutamine, and 5g BCAA per serving, in order to help you get closer to achieving your workout goals.

Nutritional Information: In one serving of Stacked Protein, you can expect to find:

  • Calories: 130
  • Total Fat: 2g
  • Cholesterol: 75mg
  • Total Carbohydrates: 4g
  • Protein: 25g
  • Sodium: 80mg

Overall, Stacked Protein has a pretty average label. Not the best we have seen, but not the worst we have seen by far.

The Pros

  • Helps support muscle growth
  • Provide you with energy
  • Mixes well

The Cons

  • Could use a purer protein blend
  • Does not taste that good
  • Very average product

Stacked Protein Conclusion

The bottom line is that Stacked Protein did not make the cut as one of our favorite supplements because it is too average and similar to many mid-tier protein powders on the market today. After reviewing so many different protein powders, we can only really highly recommend the best protein shakes for women and men. Check out our list of Top 10 Best Protein Drinks to find out which products made the cut.
