IdealLean Protein Review

IdealLean Protein is a whey protein powder that is actually designed specifically for women. It is meant to keep your physique lean and your body strong…but does it actually work?

Personally, I’ve had better results with other protein powders. I think IdealLean is a solid product, but I recently found a few protein powders that I like much better!

Read this IdealLean review to learn more, or check out my list of my favorite top 10 Best Protein Powder Supplements.

Benefits of IdealLean Protein

Here are the primary benefits you might be able to experience taking IdealLean Protein:

  • Fat reduction
  • Lean muscle growth
  • Quicker recovery time

What is IdealLean Protein?

IdealLean Protein is a protein supplement that was designed for women in order to help them build muscle and lose weight, by adhering to the personal needs of the female physique. It comes in many different flavors, like ButterScotch, Chai Tea Latte, Unflavored, Mint Chocolate, Caramel Mocha, Peaches N Cream, Chocolate Coconut, Strawberries and Cream, French Vanilla, Chocolate Brownie, Cake Batter, and Blueberries n Cream.

How Does IdealLean Protein Work?

IdealLean Protein works like any other whey protein powder. It uses easy to digest protein sources in order to be digested quickly while giving your muscles the fuel they need to grow accordingly. The difference with IdealLean Protein is that it is much lower in calories and has 0 fat, sugar, and carbs, while many proteins designed for men do have all of those things.

IdealLean Protein Ingredients

The primary IdealLean protein ingredients are:

  • Whey protein isolate
  • L-Leucine
  • L-Isoleucine
  • L-Valine

Whey Protein Blend

The one thing that is standard for men and women across the board, is that quality protein sources are crucial for your efficient muscular development. In order to grow muscle, the right way, using the right protein sources is extremely important. The best protein source you can use for quick lean muscle growth is called whey protein hydrolysate.

Whey protein hydrolysate is part of a group of proteins called whey proteins. The other whey protein sources include whey protein isolate and whey protein concentrate. Whey protein isolate is the second best to whey protein hydrolysate and is what makes up the blend in IdealLean Protein. Whey protein concentrate is digested the least efficiently and has the least amount of amino acids per serving.

Branched Chained Amino Acids (BCAAs)

These types of amino acids include L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine, and L-Valine. They are best supplemented during a workout and do a great job of helping extend your endurance, limiting your fatigue, and reducing your recovery time in between workouts.

Branched Chained Amino Acids are sometimes added to protein blends, but it is usually to overcompensate for a lower quality source of protein. The best protein sources come loaded with branched chained amino acids, and do not require any extra to be mixed into the blend.

Nutrition Facts

The following nutrition facts can be found in one serving of IdealLean Protein:

  • Calories: 80
  • Total Fat: 0 g
  • Cholesterol: 0 mg
  • Sodium: 125 mg
  • Potassium: 85 mg
  • Total Carbohydrates: 0 g
  • Dietary Fiber: 0 g
  • Sugars: 0 g
  • Protein: 20 g

The first thing I need to mention about this nutrition label is that we rarely see a protein blend that is less than 100 calories. In addition to that, having 0 grams of fat, cholesterol, and sugar is a pretty impressive feat. If you’re a girl that is trying to bulk, we would recommend a whey protein powder off this list of Top 10 Best Protein Powder Supplements, otherwise, the low amount of protein per serving in this blend isn’t that big of a deal.

The Pros

  • Great nutrition label
  • Made for women
  • Easy to use

The Cons

  • Doesn’t taste too great
  • Uses a fake sweetener that could upset your stomach
  • Low protein per serving

IdealLean Protein Conclusion

The bottom line is IdealLean Protein is one of the few whey protein powders specifically designed for women that actually produces results. It’s ability to keep the calories low and the fat at zero is pretty impressive, but comes at a pretty hefty cost when it comes to the taste.
