EAS Myoplex Review | The Best Protein Powders

EAS Myoplex Review

EAS Myoplex is a protein powder that is made up of several different forms of whey protein, which may sound like a good thing, but it’s actually quite the opposite. When it comes to protein powder, you want to go for as pure of a protein blend as possible. The diversity in whey proteins may contribute to a bit of a cluttered supplement in general.

Read this EAS Myoplex Review to find out why it did not make our list of the Top 10 Best Protein Powder Supplements.

Benefits of EAS Myoplex

The following are benefits you can expect from taking EAS Myoplex:

  • Increased lean muscle mass
  • Boost in energy and strength
  • Reduced recovery time

What Is EAS Myoplex?

EAS Myoplex is a type of protein supplement that uses multiple sources of protein, instead of just one high quality type of protein. Many companies will try to make up reasons for why they think this is the best route necessary, but we’ll go into detail about why this is not necessarily the best idea in the protein blend section of this article.

Protein powders are great for people who want a quick source of protein to supplement before or after a workout. They are designed to provide your muscles with all the necessary nutrients they need for an effective workout, without any prep time whatsoever.

EAS Myoplex comes in the following flavors: Chocolate, Vanilla, Banana, Cinnamon Swirl, and Mango.

How Does EAS Myoplex Work?

EAS Myoplex works by combining together multiple kinds of protein, that are easy for your body to digest. Easy to digest protein sources are what all protein powders revolve around. The intention of protein companies is to create a powder that your body can digest rapidly, so that your muscles can get what they need as soon as they need it.

Note: Many people use EAS Myoplex as a ketogenic meal replacement supplement.

EAS Myoplex Ingredients

Protein Blend: When looking at the protein blend of different protein powders, you always want to see one, or at the very most two kinds of protein. The fewer the protein sources in the blend, the better the product is going to be (assuming the sources of protein are high quality). You pretty much always want to be using a product with whey protein hydrolysate, or whey protein isolate. Whey protein concentrate isn’t terrible, but isolate and hydrolysate is just that much better.

The protein blend in EAS Myoplex is made up of Whey protein isolate, Micellar casein, Egg Albumen, and Calcium HMB. While whey protein isolate is a great source of protein, the other items in the blend are just diluting it. You can find a much better product that is made primarily of whey protein hydrolysate, whey protein isolate, or a mixture of the two.

Branched Chained Amino Acids: Branched chained amino acids are great for providing your body with energy, and helping reduce your overall recovery time. They are found in high quantities in high quality protein sources. While they are already present in high quality protein sources, supplementing branched chained amino acids separately during a workout can help increase the quality of your workout. The reason people do this, is because they can provide your body with increased energy, without adding many excess calories to your diet.

Nutritional Information: In one serving of EAS Myoplex, you can expect to find:

  • Calories: 130
  • Total Fat: 1.5 g
  • Cholesterol: 0
  • Sodium: 170
  • Carbohydrates: 2 g
  • Whey Protein Isolate: 12 g
  • Micellar Casein: 11 g
  • Egg Albumen: 3 g
  • Calcium HMB: 1.5 g
  • L-Leucine: 500 mg
  • Phosphatidylserine: 300 mg

Overall, this is a pretty average nutrition label. Phosphatidylserine was a pretty interesting and appreciated addition to their blend, but the amount of whey protein isolate (the highest quality protein source in this blend) is a bit low.

The Pros

  • Includes phosphatidylserine
  • Zero cholesterol
  • Tastes good
  • Contains whey protein isolate

The Cons

  • Could use a better blend of protein
  • Contains no hydrolysate
  • Too many calories

EAS Myoplex Conclusion

EAS Myoplex is simply another average protein powder with nothing super unique or valuable to offer as far as we’re concerned. Most of our favorite blends will primarily use either 100% whey protein isolate or 100% whey protein hydrolysate, or some sort of combination of the two.
