What Is C4 Extreme?

C4 Extreme is shockingly similar to the original C4 pre-workout. It’s basically the exact same formula but with double the dosage of caffeine and double the dosage of Beta Alanine. Now, the fact the dosages of these two ingredients were enlarged definitely makes this a better pre-workout supplement than the original C4.

With that being said, it’s still not all that great of a pre-workout. It’s missing several key ingredients that you will see in most other pre-workouts, and the dosages of some of the main key ingredients are simply too small. Is it an improvement from the original C4? Definitely!  But is it a supplement we would recommend…still no.

How Does C4 Extreme Work?

C4 Extreme works by using ingredients that can both help boost your energy and your concentration. This is an important combination because losing focus during a workout can make you more prone to injury and also waste a lot of your time. You do your best work in the gym when you are able to dial in on specific muscle groups and perform each exercise efficiently.

In addition to this, it should be your goal to perform till your muscles are completely broken down. You can better reach that goal by taking a pre-workout supplement that contains ingredients for boosting muscular endurance and stamina, such as Betaine Anhydrous, Valine, Leucine, and Isoleucine. However, C4 Extreme actually contains none of the ingredients we just listed, which is one of the main reasons we don’t recommend it.

The following ingredients are all present in C4 Extreme: Beta Alanine, Creatine Nitrate, Arginine Alpha Ketoglutarate, L-Tyrosine, Caffeine anhydrous, Velvet Bean, Theacrine, Rauwolfia Vomitoria, Huperzine A.

Beta Alanine: This is a buffer for lactic acid that can ensure you push yourself a little bit further in the weight room. It prevents muscle fatigue during your workout, which means you’re able to perform for longer periods of time and break down your muscle fibers much more effectively.

Creatine Nitrate: Creatine is a molecule found in meat and naturally in your body. It can help boost your energy levels and strength by hydrating your muscle cells.  Many weight lifters utilize creatine because of the fact that is increases water retention in your muscles dramatically.
