OptiMind is one of the most popular brain supplements on the market, but we don’t consider it to be one of the Top 5 Best Nootropics. Read this OptiMind review to learn why while we think its an excellent supplement, we don’t believe it’s deserving of a spot amongst the top 5.
The Benefits of OptiMind
- Increases neurotransmitter availability
- Improves communication between neurotransmitters
- Elevates energy levels
- Promotes alertness and focus
- Improves overall brain health and function
- Enhances memory
How Does OptiMind Work?
OptiMind was designed to help you study or work more effectively and efficiently so that you are better able to retain information and complete each task at hand. Oftentimes, Adderall is what people take in order to improve their efficiency and get things done quickly. However, Adderall requires a prescription and has some pretty bad side effects.
If you could take something that mimics the effects of Adderall that doesn’t require a prescription and leaves the side effects behind, you could increase your production and efficiency with no risk or down side. Each of the top 5 best nootropics was designed with this in mind.
It was formulated to increase your focus and ability to memorize information by enhancing brain efficiency and ensuring effective communication between neurotransmitters in the brain. If your brain is working optimally, the benefits are endless. You just need to make sure you are taking the right brain supplement in order to get the most serious results.
OptiMind Ingredients – What Makes It Work So Well?
Choline: Raw Brain Power – Literally a precursor for the primary key neurotransmitter in terms of intelligence, memory, and even mood. This key neurotransmitter is called Acetylcholine and is one of the most important ones you have. Unfortunately, effective communication between neurotransmitters can sometimes be inhibited by various factors.
By ingesting choline, you can enhance the performance of the transmitter acetylcholine and ensure it does its job effectively. As a result, you are better able to memorize things and genuinely learn from new material and information being presented to you. It leads to better information processing, retention, memorization, and overall cognitive performance.
Vinpocetine: Throw The Flashcards Away – You don’t need to rely too heavily on memorization techniques when you’re taking Vinpocetine. It has been proven across several clinical studies to improve memory and performance on memory related tasks.
Vinpocetine improves your working memory, meaning that you are better able to derive genuine meaning and knowledge from information you are attempting to memorize. Reading something over and over again isn’t going to get you to memorize it. It’s about developing an understanding, which Vinpocetine can help you with.
DMAE: IQ Enhancer – DMAE has been proven for its ability to increase intelligence levels. Your performance on any task that requires any brainpower whatsoever (which is basically every task ever) will be improved as a result of ingesting DMAE. You perform more efficiently, and your brain functions optimally.
GABA: Keep Your Cool – Prescription pills like Adderall can be really helpful, but they also mess with your mood and make you feel funny. Therefore, when trying to create effective brain supplements, you need to include something like GABA that has been proven to help regulate mood and stimulate production of calming hormones.
This way you’re not tweaking out while you’re studying or working and your mood isn’t all over the place. You are able to function more optimally and be more efficient while still keeping your cool and maintaining a good mood.
Huperzine A: Neurotransmitter Bodyguard – As I talked about before, Acetylcholine is a critical neurotransmitter for optimal brain function but can sometimes not be effectively utilized due to improper communication or other means of disruption.
Acetylcholinesterase is an enzyme that destroys acetylcholine, stopping it in its tracks. Huperzine A has the ability to protect Acetylcholine from this enzyme so that it is able to do its job, and you are able to experience the benefits.
With Huperzine A protecting your most useful neurotransmitter, you essentially become a version of Bradley Cooper from the movie Limitless. Your brain works at maximum efficiency, communication is improved, and memorization skills are enhanced.
Tyrosine: Minimize Effects of Sleep Deprivation – If you are someone who works really hard and is looking for a brain supplement to help you out, chances are you don’t get a whole lot of sleep. Usually people who work hard tend not to sleep as much as they should, and this can have adverse effects on brain function.
Tyrosine prevents sleep deprivation from effecting brain function. Tyrosine allows your brain to function optimally even when you are sleep deprived and your brain normally would be struggling.
- Clinically proven ingredients
- Lives up to its big reputation
- Improves not only memory but also mood
- Enables you to better retain information
- Overall formula potency isn’t as high as it could be
Considering there are hundreds of nootropics out there, it isn’t an easy feat to be labeled one of the 10 best brain supplements. OptiMind did just about everything right and really earned its spot in our top 10 list. It has excellent ingredients and was very carefully formulated. While it is a great supplement, we recommend you check out our Top 5 Nootropics page before buying.
Bottom Line: OptiMind is a great option for a brain supplement, but we would recommend any of the top 3 brain supplements over this one, our overall favorite by far is Mind Ignite.

Video Transcript: Optimind Review
what’s up guys Joe here with the supplement reviews org today I’m gonna be reviewing optimind which is something that I have reviewed on my website the supplement reviews org and I would highly recommend you check out that written review because it contains a lot of details I go super in-depth with the formula analysis it’s gonna be an article that’s really helpful for anybody who’s potentially interested in buying this product but I’m gonna give you kind of a brief summary of that review in this video some people just prefer the briefer version some people prefer to watch video so I like to make video versions of my reviews and anyway so let’s go ahead and get into it so I’m gonna start off by showing you guys the formula like I always do it’s hopefully that will focus in there and you guys can see the formula for yourselves so there is solid list of ingredients there there’s a lot of clinically proven nootropics in this formula we’ve got phosphatidyl serine which is one of the best nootropics available super effective we’ve got a bacopa monnieri we have gaba caffeine then post a teen huperzine a a lot of really great clinically proven new traffic so this is an excellent ingredient panel and that’s a great start but an issue that I see right off the bat and this is something that I bring up a lot because a lot of supplements tend to have this issue on the formula is the fact that it uses a proprietary blend so you can see that proprietary blend there so there’s a big dosage for that proprietary blend which is good that means it’s a very potent blend and it’s gonna be something that you can feel right when you take it so this will produce benefits more likely than not and it’s it’s actually a supplement that a lot of people do enjoy so positive user feedback is something that’s obviously a really good sign but with that being said this isn’t necessarily one of the best nootropics on the market in my opinion because of the fact that it uses that proprietary blend so what that means is that we don’t know the exact dosages of the ingredients in the blend all we know is that the ingredients are in the blend we don’t know what size they’ve been dosed at and in order for an ingredient to be effective it needs to be clinically dosed and so without having that knowledge we can’t really know whether or not the dosages are large enough for each ingredient so we have an overall potency of about fourteen 1500 milligrams per serving which is great very solid overall potency I’ve seen higher but that’s definitely up there it’s super solid so I love the ingredient panel love the overall potency but like I said the only issue I have here is the fact that it uses that proprietary blending that we can’t see all the dosages because that means we don’t know exactly what we’re taking and what I’m taking supplements when I’m putting something in my body I like to know exactly what I’m taking so again basically just to sum up this is a great new Tropic a lot of great ingredients it’s gotten some very positive consumer feedback it’s just not necessarily my favorite or necessarily even one of my top three favorites because of the fact that it uses that proprietary blend so other than the blend it’s a great product but not something I would recommend that’s basically the bottom line and like I said if you want to learn more about optimind or you want to learn about some of my more highly ranked to nootropics some nootropics that I do recommend my number one ranks nootropic on my website is called mind ignite you should check out the mind ignite review at the supplement reviews org that is a great product and there are several other great nootropics I reviewed there so definitely go check that out but if you guys have any questions about optimind feel free to leave a comment and I will try to get back to you as soon as possible thanks for watching
