Real Mass Gainer Review

Real Mass Review | #7 Ranked Mass Gainer

Real Mass Gainer ReviewReal Mass is a very solid product, but for whatever reason, it is overrated. You will find that other reviews tend to speak pretty positively of the product, and we’re not sure why this is. Lucky for you, this site’s reviews are strictly based on factual information so there is nothing misleading about them. Read the review, look at the nutrition label, and you will know everything you need to know to make a decision.

Company Profile

Gaspari Nutrition has a wide range of products, however none of them are overly impressive. This is not bad product, but we don’t think it’s a top notch product either. Gaspari has also recently come out with an impressive product called Vasotropin, which I will be writing a separate review for.

Real Mass Ingredients

Real Mass has a carb to protein ratio of about 1.6 to 1. This is very good, as you may know by now if Real Mass Ingredients and Supplement Factsyou’ve read our other gainer reviews. It also contains 620 calories per serving, which is not terrible, but still a little high.

However, if you take a look at the nutrition label below, you will notice that it contains 12 grams of fat per serving. This is pretty high…that much fat in every serving can really add up over time and potentially cause you to gain some unwanted weight in addition to the muscle you can gain. Each serving also contains 14 grams of sugar! This is extremely high, and could also cause you to gain some unwanted fat instead of just muscle mass. The muscle you can gain with this product would likely not be what we call “lean muscle mass.”

Cholesterol is very low at only 100 mg per serving. Real Mass is overall a pretty nutritious product, with the exception of the 12 grams of fat per serving and 14 grams of sugar per serving. The protein they use consists of whey protein isolate, whey protein concentrate, egg albumin, milk protein isolate, and partially hydrolyzed whey protein. This mix of proteins is far from ideal, as you would ideally want strictly whey protein isolate or hydrolyzed isolate since it is the purest form of protein available.

This could be an effective product as far as quickly gaining weight, but you also could just gain weight very quickly because of the amount of fat and sugar it contains. While you could gain some solid muscle due to the awesome carb to protein ratio, you simply must still be aware of the effect that the excess of fat and sugar could have on your body.

Going back to the lack of purity as far as the actual protein blend itself goes, this will likely make for a less effective formula whereas had they used all whey protein isolate/hydrolysate, it could have been much more effective. We personally have never tried this product due to the scary amount of fat and sugar, but the reviews other people have written about it generally speak well of it.

This is not surprising because people who take this product are pretty likely to see results. The issue is that most of these people don’t know what they are putting into their bodies. They are just seeing the results and assuming it’s a good product because they often have no understanding of nutrition labels.

This product only has 260 grams of sodium per serving in it, which is pretty impressive for a mass gainer. You might think this would cause the product to not taste as good, but remember it also has 14 grams of sugar in every serving, which is more than likely going to make it taste very good.

Not surprisingly, the reviews regarding the taste of this mass gainer are all very positive. It does not appear anyone had anything negative to say regarding the taste…but again, at what cost? You don’t need 14 grams of sugar per serving in order for a product to taste good. It just really is not worth it.

The Pros

  • Carb to protein ratio is very good

  • Cholesterol is low

  • 50 grams of protein in every serving

  • You could gain weight quickly

The Cons

  • Very high in fat

  • Very high in sugar

  • Protein formula lacks purity

  • You could gain fat in addition to muscle

This is overall far from the most impressive product but it does have some good qualities. It is not one of the top gainers that we would recommend. It simply has too much fat and sugar.

All you have to do is take a look at the nutrition labels of some of the more highly ranked products and compare them to this one to know that its not the best mass gainer out there. We highly recommend you take a look at our #1 ranked mass gainer to see how it beat this one out.
