Benefits of Re-Kaged
These are the following benefits you can expect from taking Re-Kaged:
- Increased lean muscle growth
- Reduced recovery times
- Help with digestion
What Is Re-Kaged?
Re-Kaged is a protein powder that attempts to give you a high quality source of protein that your body can easily digest. These protein powders can consist of many different sources of protein, and it is extremely important to make sure you are getting a high quality source of protein.
Many different blends try to advertise that they use many different kinds of protein sources, when really one or two high quality, complete proteins is your best bet at optimal muscle growth.
How Does Re-Kaged Work?
Re-Kaged works by trying to give you protein sources that are easy for your body to digest. Since your body can digest these proteins quickly, your muscles are able to get the fuel and energy they need to repair and recover as quickly as possible.
Re-Kaged Ingredients
Protein Blend
The protein blend in Re-Kaged is made up of whey protein isolate. This is a great thing to see in any protein powder, as many other protein powders do this as well. In order from best to worst, whey proteins go from whey protein hydrolysate, to whey protein isolate, to whey protein concentrate.
Many different protein powders will use a combination of all three of these ingredients, and while it’s not the worst thing ever, using primarily whey protein hydrolysate or whey protein isolate would be much better for you.
Whey protein peptides are further broken down whey proteins with less than 50 amino acids per unit. Some protein companies utilize these peptides because they are very quickly digested and can give your muscles a better chance at recovering quicker.
Branched Chained Amino Acids
Branched Chained Amino Acids include L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine, and L-Valine. These three amino acids can do a remarkable job of helping decrease your recovery time and giving you higher energy levels.
A great way of using branched chained amino acids (also called BCAA’s) is by supplementing them during your workout. They can provide you with a low calorie way of getting the energy you need to last longer in the gym.
Many protein blends that don’t have high quality sources of protein will engage in a practice known as nitrogen spiking. Nitrogen spiking is when amino acids are added to a protein blend so that companies can say there is a higher quantity of protein in their blend, when really the active muscle building protein is not included in that number.

My Personal Re Kaged Review And Results
Re Kaged became such a popular protein powder, that I figured I’d go ahead and test it out myself. Does it live up to the hype? I’ll get into my personal experience with it, my results, and more in this section. I personally bought a one month supply, but I actually didn’t finish it. Here’s why…
Re Kaged tastes pretty good, which is always a plus. Taste is not my largest concern, but it is always a good thing if you can look forward to drinking your protein shake…so I’ll give it some points there. It also has a sufficient amount of protein powder, so it was pretty effective at helping out with recovery and reducing some of my muscle soreness after workouts.
Where it lost major points for me (and the reason I stopped taking it) is because it has too much fat, calories, and other things that I noticed were causing me to gain weight. I expect protein powders to help me gain muscle, not fat. Re Kaged was causing me to gain some fat, and that’s a big no-no for me, so I stopped taking it.
Bottom Line: My results with Re-Kaged were overall very mixed. I liked the protein powder, but it did not give me the desired results. As a Nutrition Coach, I would NOT recommend this to any of my clients.
Pros of Re-Kaged
- Uses whey protein isolate primarily
- High serving of protein
- Includes recovery ingredients
Cons of Re-Kaged
- Pretty average overall supplement

- There are higher quality protein blends
Re-Kaged Conclusion
The bottom line is, Re-Kaged is a decent overall protein supplement. However, our favorite protein blends include whey protein hydrolysate, the highest quality source of protein you can find. Check out our Protein Powders category to discover the top protein powders on the market.
