Alpha Jym Review: Legit Testosterone Booster or All Hype?

by Joe Costello, CNC | Testosterone Boosters

Alpha Jym pills outside of the bottleAlpha Jym is a great testosterone booster with a lot of promise. There are plenty of good things to say about the nutrition label including an extraordinarily high overall potency. However, there are a couple areas in which we believe this supplement fell short. For one, they misspelled “gym.” I’m just messing with you, but honestly, for some reason, it bothers me. It shouldn’t, I know, because its a witty play on words! I’m such a bitter reviewer.

Check out this Alpha Jym review to learn why we think it is an average supplement and do NOT consider it to be one of the Best Test Boosters.

Alpha Jym review by a Certified Nutrition Coach: Is Alpha Jym any good?

Alpha Jym isn’t necessarily a bad testosterone booster, but it certainly can’t compete with the best of them. The overall potency may seem high at about 2,100 milligrams per serving, but our #1 ranked test booster provides 3,200 milligrams per serving, so you do the math. Plus, Alpha Jym does NOT contain what many believe to be the most efficient testosterone boosting ingredient: D-Aspartic Acid.

My Personal Experience And Results With Alpha Jym

Even though I do not like the Alpha Jym formula (especially because it is missing D Aspartic Acid), I figured I would test it myself anyways in order to give my readers are more complete review of the supplement. Additionally, as a Certified Nutrition Coach, I feel obligated to personally test any product that I may end up recommending to one of my clients, so I figured I’d give Alpha Jym a try. Here’s what happened…

I took Alpha Jym for 30 days. Initially, I noticed some benefits in the gym such as improved endurance and better strength. However, those benefits were very short lived. Alpha Jym only worked for about a week, and then my body immediately built up a tolerance, and it stopped working. My theory on this is that the lack of D Aspartic Acid is what causes the supplement to stop working so quickly because DAA is most particularly well known for its endurance and immunity to tolerance build up.

Again, it’s just a shame that Alpha Jym does not contain DAA, but the product did still produce some results for me in the gym. Overall, I’d rate it a 3/10 personally. With a high quality testosterone booster, I expect long lasting results in both the gym and the bedroom, and I did not get that with this product at all. I would never recommend Alpha Jym to any of my clients as a Nutrition Coach, nor would I recommend it to my readers. It’s just not strong enough, missing crucial ingredients, and I had a pretty bad personal experience with it.

What does Alpha Jym do?

What does Alpha Jym do for you? It’s designed to help naturally increase testosterone levels within the body through the use of clinically tested herbal ingredients. Most test booster formulas are comprised of a combination of herbs, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals. However, the Alpha Jym formula consists entirely of herbs and specifically lacks a critical amino acid in D-Aspartic Acid.

To discover a testosterone booster that has a significantly higher potency than Alpha Jym AND contains a huge 2,000 milligram dosage of the all-important D Aspartic Acid, check out Testogen. This is my number one ranked test booster, and I personally take it myself daily. The supplement facts panel is incredibly impressive, and the results speak for themselves.

Alpha Jym ingredients list

Here are the primary Alpha Jym ingredients:

  • Fenugreek
  • Damiana Leaf
  • Diindolylmethane
  • Ashwagandha Root
  • Eurycoma Longifolia
  • Quercetin

Fenugreek

According to the website, Fenugreek is dosed at 500 milligrams per serving, which is a tremendous dose. That dosage of an ingredient with as much potential as Fenugreek could actually have a pretty significant effect even on its own. There is plenty of research out there that supports Fenugreek can potentially be an effective method of testosterone boosting after several weeks of use.

Damiana Leaf

Damiana is the third ingredient to be dosed at 500 MG, which is very impressive and makes for an already solid overall potency. Damiana is believed to be able to inhibit testosterone from being converted into estrogen, which is a vital function if you’re looking to really reap all the benefits of a testosterone booster.

Diindolylmethane

Diindolylmethane, better known as DIM, is an ingredient that some researchers believe has potential with regard to raising testosterone levels. However, there is actually a solid amount of evidence showing that DIM may be an androgen antagonist, which is very bad if your goal is to boost testosterone. We do not like their inclusion of this controversial ingredient.

Ashwagandha Root

Here we have another big dosage size, but it’s an ingredient that we don’t like very much in the context of a testosterone supplement formula. Ashwagandha Root is certainly a useful herb, but the evidence for the effects it may have on testosterone levels is rather limited (at least as far as we can find). Some studies suggest that it may help, but we haven’t seen a whole lot of definitive proof as of yet.

Alpha Jym pros and cons

Here are the benefits and side effects of Alpha Jym testosterone booster.

Alpha Jym benefits

There is a pretty solid range of potential Alpha Jym health benefits due to it’s large dosage of Fenugreek, which is one of the most research-backed nutrients with regard to boosting test levels. However, Fenugreek works best when combined with other similar nutrients, which isn’t the case here.

With that being said, some of the benefits of Alpha Jym could include increased sex drive, improved athletic performance, and increased muscle mass. We don’t see these benefits as being extremely likely due to the nature of the SFP (supplement facts panel), but they are possible.

Alpha Jym side effects

Since Alpha Jym strictly uses 100% natural herbs, it’s not likely for the user to experience a lot of side effects. The whole point of a natural formula is to try to produce benefits without the risk of severe side effects.

However, it is possible for users to experience side effects if they are particularly sensitive to the ingredients or using the supplement improperly. Some of those side effects may include headaches, anxiety, and upset stomach. Nothing crazy here, but if you do experience side effects, we recommend stopping the supplement immediately.

Alpha Jym complaints & praise (info from real Alpha Jym customer reviews)

We base our conclusions about any given supplement on expert Supplement Facts Panel (SFP) analysis, but we also like to take customer feedback into account. To find verified buyer reviews we can trust, we typically turn to Amazon. Let’s have a look at what we uncovered!

Across 286 total Alpha Jym reviews, it received an average rating of 4.5 stars. That’s a pretty impressive mark…it doesn’t blow me away, but we typically say that anything above 4 stars on average is pretty impressive. Here’s another positive stat if you’re feeling encouraged…

74% of the Alpha Jym reviews submitted contain 5-star ratings from their writers. This statistic is again pretty impressive…according to my math, it means that about 211 people rated this product 5 stars. You have to really like a product to buy it, try it, and then go back to where you bought it and leave a positive review. BUT…

Let’s not get distracted from the facts here gentlemen. The science is what is most important. Alpha Jym only contains 2,100 MG of overall potency in every serving, whereas our #1 ranked testosterone booster contains over 3,200 MG of overall potency per serving…

That means TestoTEK (our top ranked T Booster) is 52% more potent than Alpha Jym, and contains 52% more testosterone boosting ingredients in every serving. It also contains 10 total active ingredients as opposed to Alpha Jym’s 6 total active ingredients…something to consider.

Is Alpha Jym worth it? Our Alpha Jym test booster review conclusion

Overall, we think Alpha Jym is a pretty average supplement that could potentially produce some results. However, we do not see it as coming even close to being one of the Top 5 Testosterone Boosters. It’s not a bad supplement, but the top-shelf test boosters blow it out of the water. An example of a supplement we like much better due to its higher potency levels and larger amount of active T-boosting ingredients would be our #1 ranked testosterone booster.

Alpha Jym FAQs

Is Alpha Jym safe?

Yes, Alpha Jym can generally be considered safe due to its 100% natural formula. You should always consult your doctor before starting a new supplement, but from our view, we don’t see any reason why it should be considered unsafe.

When should I take Alpha Jym?

We typically recommend taking testosterone boosters in the morning. The good ones usually boost energy levels, so it can be a bad idea to take it at night. Additionally, it’s usually best to take it after eating. More people report side effects when they take it on an empty stomach.

Can you take Shred Jym with Alpha Jym?

You can mix the fat burner with the testosterone booster in theory, but this could lead to side effects. We wouldn’t recommend mixing the two.
