Our Choices for the Top 10 Testosterone Boosters on the Market 2017
Testosterone boosters are ridiculously popular. There are hundreds of them on the market. Some are good, some bad. We know it takes a tremendous amount of time and research to find a truly effective testosterone booster, which is why we did all the work for you.
After what seemed like an endless amount of research, we’ve finally discovered what we believe to be the top 10 testosterone boosters on the market.
Below we have provided brief summaries for each of the top 10, ranked based on overall potency, quality of ingredients, clinical proof, formula synergy, individual dosage amounts, consumer reviews, and personal experience testing the products.
Additionally, you will find links to the websites of the manufacturers should you decide you would like to purchase one of them as well as links to the full, comprehensive reviews for each if you would like to learn more about a particular testosterone booster.
Note: It is generally recommended that testosterone boosters be used for 2-3 months and combined with regular exercise for best results.
TestoTEK has taken over our top spot for the #1 ranked testosterone booster supplement of 2017. Why? There are a lot of reasons. With 12 total ingredients, it is tied for the most ingredients with Prime Male, but has higher potencies for the most critical testo-boosting ingredients.
It contains as much or more D aspartic acid, vitamin D3 and zinc than any other booster. It also contains mucuna pruriens, ginseng, oyster extract, fenugreek and stinging nettle. No booster contains all of these proven winners. And to top it all off, it is less expensive than Prime Male and TestoFuel. If you want the best booster on the market, look no further.
Testogen is one of the best testosterone boosters on the market. It exceeds all of the criteria when it comes to testosterone supplement requirements. The overall potency is exceptionally high at nearly 3,000 milligrams per serving. Generally, overall potency is about 2,000, so you can see this is well above average.
Almost all of the ingredients are backed with clinical evidence, which is your most important consideration. If the ingredients have been proven to boost testosterone levels, then you don’t have to worry about the supplement possibly not working. It is basically guaranteed to work when a supplement contains both proven ingredients AND sufficient dosages. The key ingredients include D-Aspartic Acid, Tribulus Terrestris, Panax Ginseng, Fenugreek Extract, and Zinc. The only testo-booster we prefer over Testogen is TestoTEK.
#3 Prime Male
Prime Male is a very close second to the best testosterone booster. This is another excellent product with high quality, clinically proven ingredients and very high overall potencies. The ingredients include D-Aspartic Acid, Siberian Ginseng, Fenugreek, Mucana Pruriens, and Zinc. There are certainly sufficient dosages of each ingredient with an overall potency of approximately 2,800 milligrams per serving plus 5,200 UI of vitamin D3.
This testosterone booster is geared more at men with Low T (low testosterone) through its use of the ingredient Mucana Pruriens, which has been proven for its ability to boost libido and in turn increase sex drive. It wasn’t easy to rank Prime Male below Testogen but when it comes down to it, individual dosages and overall potency is slightly higher in Testogen.
TestoFuel is another excellent testosterone booster that is geared more towards men who are looking to use a testosterone supplement as a means of increasing muscle mass. If you’re looking for a shortcut to building muscle, you just found it. Consumer reviews consistently report gains in muscle mass as a result of using TestoFuel for 2-3 months.
The overall potency is approximately 2,800 milligrams per serving plus 5,000 IU of Vtiamin D3, which is the best vitamin for boosting testosterone levels. Other important ingredients include D-Aspartic Acid, Siberian Ginseng, Fenugreek, and Zinc. As you can see, the top testosterone boosters tend to contain a lot of the same ingredients. The reason is because these ingredients have the most clinical evidence behind them.
Nugenix generates a whole lot of attention through the use of commercials and various other forms of advertisement, which is why it initially caught our attention. After evaluating it, we decided that while it isn’t the very best, it deserves a spot on the top 10 list.
It has an overall potency of about 2,100 milligrams per serving, which is well above average. More importantly, there is plenty of clinical evidence for the ingredients it contains. Some of these ingredients include Testofen, Fenugreek Extract, and Tribulus Terrestris. These are all high quality, proven testosterone boosting ingredients. The only issue we have with it is that it uses a proprietary blend, which is something we generally like to avoid.
#6 Monster T
Monster T is a unique testosterone booster that has an overall potency of just above 4,600 milligrams per serving, which is the highest potency we have ever seen in a testosterone supplement. With that said, the issue here is that the formula isn’t as diverse as we would like for it to be. Usually a testosterone booster contains about 4-5 primary ingredients, but this one primarily utilizes 2 ingredients.
It contains D-Aspartic Acid, Zinc, L-Citrulline, and Stinging Nettle Leaf. However, the Zinc and Stinging Nettle Leaf dosages are not as high as they could be at only 30 milligrams per serving and 140 milligrams per serving respectively.
D-Aspartic Acid comprises the vast majority of the formula at 3,000 milligrams per serving. While that much DAA is awesome, we just wish the other individual doses were higher and the formula was more diverse.
Testosterone Max definitely earned its spot in the top 10 boosters list due to its use of high quality ingredients and exceptionally diverse formula. It utilizes 10 different testosterone-boosting ingredients, which is awesome. Among these are some of the popular ones such as D-Aspartic Acid, Fenugreek, Tribulus Terrestris, and Zinc. However, they also included some more unique ingredients such as Selenium and Panax Ginseng.
Overall, the potency clocks in at approximately 2,300, which is fairly low compared to that of the top 3 boosters. The somewhat low overall potency is the primary reason this booster ranked amongst the top 5 but not the top 3. It uses awesome ingredients, but the dosages just aren’t as high as we would like to see.
TestRX is another testo booster that we would highly recommend you consider. They offer tremendous savings when you buy in bulk, and there is plenty of clinical evidence to back up the formula.
The primary ingredients include Tongkat Ali, Tribulus Terrestris, Fenugreek, and Vitamin D3. The formula is diverse and uses additional ingredients that you won’t find in many testosterone boosters, which is good if you can appreciate a more unique approach to testosterone boosting. However, the overall potency is not listed and we have not yet tested this one, so we didn’t have enough evidence to rank it higher on this list.
TestoRush is another testo booster that we recommend you consider. They offer tremendous savings when you buy in bulk, and there is plenty of clinical evidence to back up the formula.
The primary ingredients include Tongkat Ali, L-Arginine and Maca. The formula is diverse and uses additional ingredients that you won’t find in many testosterone boosters, which is good if you can appreciate a more unique approach to testosterone boosting. However, the overall potency is kind of low and we have not yet tested this one, so we didn’t have enough evidence to rank it higher on this list.
Test X180 Ignite is another testosterone booster that receives a lot of attention. It actually has multiple forms, all 3 of which we have reviewed on our site. These include the regular Test X180, Test X180 Alpha, and Test X180 Ignite. Alpha is for guys trying to gain muscle, but Test X180 Ignite is more popular because it is an overall better testosterone booster and helps you shred fat rather than gain weight like the Alpha version does.
Test X180 Ignite uses popular ingredients such as Testofen, Siberian Ginseng, Panax Ginseng, and Tribulus Terrestris. These are all excellent ingredients, but the main issue we have with this product is that the overall potency is very low compared to the higher ranked testosterone boosters, and also it is missing two of the most widely studied and proven testosterone boosting ingredients, which are D-Aspartic Acid and Zinc. Had it included these two vital ingredients and raised the overall potency to above 1,000 milligrams per serving (currently at 800 mg), we would have ranked Test X180 Ignite higher on the list.
All of the top 10 testosterone boosters earned their rankings on this list, however it is very important to understand how carefully we ranked them. In other words, we highly recommend that you choose between the top 5 on this list, as those are hands down the most effective.
Regardless of what testosterone booster you choose, you’ll want to be exercising on a regular basis while taking it. If your goal is to build muscle, make sure you are lifting weights at least 5 days per week. If you want to cut fat and get in shape, make sure you are doing high intensity cardiovascular training regularly.
For best results, we recommend you take your testosterone booster for at least 2-3 months. Most manufacturers offer a discount for buying in bulk, so you can end up saving a good chunk of cash by purchasing a 3-month supply.
