Nugenix Testosterone Booster | Hugely Popular but Is it Effective?
What is Nugenix?
Nugenix is a testosterone booster that has recently been getting a lot of attention. Many people who are interested in sports nutrition and bodybuilding supplements have begun to pay more and more attention to testosterone boosters. Are testosterone boosters generally effective? Yes, but is this one? Read the following Nugenix review to find out we believe it to be a below average testosterone booster.
Nugenix Benefits (Reported)
Many testosterone boosters out there are effective, but there are also a significant amount of testosterone boosters that are not effective…and we believe that Nugenix is one of them. The best testosterone boosters work because the ingredients have been proven to stimulate testosterone production within the body.
We rank a testosterone booster based on the amount of testosterone boosting ingredients it does or does not contain and how much of each ingredient is included in every serving. Nugenix contains very few testosterone-boosting ingredients, and the nutrition label does not tell you how much of each ingredient it contains because it uses a proprietary blend. For that reason, we have found little evidence to support Nugenix’s claims.
Nugenix is an inferior testosterone booster because it contains poor ingredients. It contains vitamin B6, vitamin B12, zinc, and a proprietary blend. Zinc is a proven testosterone booster and is a big part of a lot of the formulas of testosterone boosters we have reviewed on our site.
For those of you who don’t know, “proprietary blend” is a term that essentially serves the purpose of allowing the manufacturer to leave the amounts of certain ingredients undisclosed. In other words, there is no way of knowing how much of each ingredient is in the proprietary blend. The idea is supposedly so other companies can’t duplicate the formula, hence the term “proprietary”. However, the real reason is so that a company can put a tiny amount of a certain ingredient in the formula just so that the name can appear on the label. And who is to know?
With Nugenix, they claim each serving has 2103 milligrams of their proprietary blend in each serving and the blend consists of fenugreek extract, L-citrulline, and tribulus terrestris. All of these ingredients are considered to be testosterone boosters by many experts in the industry.
With that said, we don’t know how much of each ingredient is in this proprietary blend…that is a major problem. We are unable to determine whether or not this supplement is truly effective without that information. Any consumer would be taking a huge gamble by purchasing this supplement, and more often than not, the consumer loses that gamble.
Nugenix Side Effects
Not only is the formula a little dubious, but the personal Nugenix reviews we have read from people who tried this product show that the product actually produces some pretty bad side effects. Almost all of the reviews we read consisted of nothing but Nugenix complaints about the effectiveness of the product and problems that it caused for the users in terms of side effects.
Among these side effects are nasal congestion, swelling, diarrhea, an upset stomach, bloating, and wheezing. Obviously, these are all side effects that you would like to avoid. With a truly effective testosterone booster, you don’t have to worry about side effects, but with Nugenix, apparently you do. No member of our staff has personally tried it, but we read several different Nugenix reviews, and none of them were very good.
- Nugenix does contain some proven testosterone boosting ingredients
- If the amount of these ingredients is significant (unknown), then it may be a pretty effective testosterone booster
- It is priced fairly at $69.99 per bottle
- Nugenix uses a proprietary blend
- We are unable to determine whether the product is truly effective due to the use of a proprietary blend
- There is not necessarily a significant number of testosterone boosting ingredients (at least not as many as we have seen in some of our higher ranked products)
Based on our findings of Nugenix, we highly recommend you consider other testosterone boosters before risking taking an ineffective supplement that apparently causes unpleasant side effects. The best testosterone booster we have seen thus far is called TestoTEK.
This is our recommendation for anyone looking for an effective testosterone booster that does not cause side effects. TestoTEK is designed for men with low testosterone problems, but for those of you looking to use a testosterone booster as a shortcut to packing on some muscle, we recommend you check out Testofuel, that is designed for increasing testosterone and building muscle. Check out all of our testosterone booster reviews.
Nugenix is not an effective testosterone booster, and we would not recommend you purchase it. It is very unlikely that Nugenix will produce results for you. Not only are there better boosters out there, but it also apparently causes some side effects based on third party reviews we’ve read.
