PeptoPro Benefits

These are the following benefits you can expect to experience form PeptoPro:

  • Increased rate of lean muscle growth
  • Reduced rate of recovery
  • Enhanced energy levels

What Is PeptoPro?

PeptoPro is a protein powder by the brand Protein Factory. They utilize a different kind of protein blend that is “pre-digested” so that your body is able to take in the amino acids necessary for muscle protein synthesis. There are 20 different amino acids necessary for efficient muscle protein synthesis and they are naturally occurring in high quality sources of protein.

How Does PeptoPro Work?

PeptoPro works by utilizing shorter amino acids known as di-peptides and tri-peptides which are really just hydrolyzed casein proteins. When a complete protein becomes hydrolyzed, it becomes broken down into smaller units, so that it’s easier to digest.

Protein powders rely on easy to digest proteins that your stomach is able to quickly absorb in order to allow your muscles to receive the nutrients they need when they need them.

PeptoPro Ingredients

Protein Blend

So in order to understand what is going on with the protein blend in PeptoPro, you’ve got to learn a little bit about how protein works. High quality sources of proteins have high quantities of amino acids, that your muscles need in order to rebuild and grow.

Some protein sources are more difficult for your body to digest, and do not have all the necessary amino acids your muscles need. The best quality protein you can get are whey proteins.

PeptoPro utilizes Casein proteins. Casein is a milk derivative and not one of the best sources of protein you can get. However, PeptoPro makes up for that by hydrolyzing it to the point where it becomes much easier for your body to absorb.

There is a form of whey protein called whey protein hydrolysate, which is a higher quality version of the blend in PeptoPro. While Peptopro definitely is going in the right direction, whey sources of protein will always be a higher quality option.

Branched Chained Amino Acids

Branched Chained Amino Acids are naturally occurring in high quality sources of protein, and include L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine, and L-Valine. These three amino acids are very easy to digest, and can give you energy during your workout, without putting unnecessary calories in your body. Taking Branched Chained Amino Acids during a workout is also a great way to further reduce your recovery time. While many companies try to mix BCAA’s in their protein blend, it is usually just to make up for the amino acids that their low quality protein source is missing.

Nutritional Information

These are the following nutrition facts you can expect from one serving of PeptoPro:

  • Calories: 140
  • Total Carbohydrates: 4 grams
  • Protein: 32 grams
  • Calcium: 80 mg
  • Sodium: 580 mg sodium
  • Milk Protein Hydrolysate: 40 grams

There is a lot of protein in this blend, definitely higher than many of the other brands we have tested. However, there is also a lot of sodium, so taking this multiple times a day might not be in your best interest.

Pros of PeptoPro

  • Easy to digest
  • Mixes well
  • High protein content

Cons of PeptoPro

  • Could use a higher quality protein source
  • There’s a lot of sodium
  • Very processed

PeptoPro Review Conclusion

The bottom line is, PeptoPro makes for a very fast acting protein blend, but lacks the high quality source we are trying to recommend you. Whey protein hydrolysate should always be your first choice, with whey protein isolate coming in second. Other protein sources are just a waste of your time and money.
