Stealth Mass Gainer Review: Is It Worth The Price?

by Joe Costello, CNC | Mass & Weight Gainers

Stealth Gainer ReviewThis is a very underrated product that more people should be aware of. It absolutely deserves to be in the top 10 and the following Stealth Gainer review will back this claim up.

VPX Sports is a pretty big name in the sports nutrition industry and they have a large, established line of products. It’s hard to keep track of all their products because of how many they are consistently coming out with. It’s pretty impressive.

See how it compares to the top options here: Top Mass Gainers.

Stealth Gainer Ingredients

Ingredients are by far the most important consideration when searching for a protein product, and this product’s ingredients are what got it on our list.

The carb to protein ratio is 1.65 to 1. This is pretty close to perfect (1.5 to 1), and is an impressive ratio. With only 545 calories per serving, this formula is excellent for lean muscle mass.

In addition to a low calorie count, it only has 5 grams of fat in every serving (the same as that of R1 Gain, the #1 ranked product). And only 70 mg of cholesterol? That is very impressive. With only 3 grams of sugar, this is an exceptionally nutritious product.

The one concern with Stealth Gainer is that the protein itself isn’t as pure as it should be. They used multiple types of milk protein, whey protein concentrate, and micellar casein, which is not the best idea.

They should have stuck with strictly whey protein isolate, which is the purest form of protein available. Had the carb to protein ratio been 1.5 to 1 and the profile of the protein itself been a little cleaner, I would have given it a better rank for ingredients.

Stealth Gainer Effectiveness

Stealth Gainer is very likely to help you gain some mass considering the ingredient profile.

There are seven different types of protein in Stealth Gainer, that is the only real downside to the product. I know that sounds like a good thing, but it is not. With that said, this should not diminish the effectiveness too much.

Based on other reviews from people who have actually used it, it seems to be fairly effective, and we’re not surprised. Ideally you want the protein to be entirely whey protein isolate in order to get the full effect. The protein blend they used is bit on the cheap side.

This product contains 280 mg of sodium, which is plenty enough for it to taste good. and all of the reviews seem to be positive as far as taste goes. This would make sense considering the history of VPX products. Taste doesn’t seem to be an issue at all with Stealth Gainer.

The Pros

  • Solid carb to protein ratio
  • Low calorie count
  • Low sodium
  • Low sugar
  • Low fat

The Cons

  • With 7 different proteins it is far from pure

Is Stealth Mass Gainer worth it? Our Conclusion

Overall, Stealth Gainer is a very good product. As stated earlier, if the carb to protein ratio was closer to 1.5 to 1 and the protein a little more pure, it might have been ranked higher but it still carries a #4 overall ranking which is impressive. With those two exceptions, this product is amazing. With that said, we highly recommend you check out our #1 ranked mass gainer before deciding to buy this one.
